88.5 KGNU and Z2 Entertainment proudly present international reggae artist Ky-Mani Marley at the Fox Theatre on Friday, December 6, 2024. Known for his dynamic blend of reggae, hip hop, and roots influences, Ky-Mani Marley has been captivating global audiences with his magnetic stage presence and soulful voice for decades.

Born in Falmouth, Jamaica, to reggae legend Bob Marley and table tennis champion Anita Belnavis, Ky-Mani grew up surrounded by music, but it wasn't until his move to Miami at the age of nine that he began exploring his own musical path. Initially focused on sports, Ky-Mani’s talent for music emerged after his mother encouraged him to take piano and guitar lessons. His career began to take shape in his teenage years when he started rapping, deejaying, and ultimately recording his debut single, "Unnecessary Badness."

With a natural flair for collaboration, Ky-Mani gained early recognition with hit songs such as "Judge Not" with Patra and his cover of Eddy Grant’s "Electric Avenue" with Pras of the Fugees. His critically acclaimed albums, including Like Father Like Son (1996), The Journey (2000), and the Grammy-nominated Many More Roads (2001), have cemented him as a leading voice in the reggae world.

Ky-Mani has also demonstrated his versatility by stepping into the film industry, starring in Jamaican cult classics like Shottas and One Love. His creativity doesn't stop there—he recently executive produced and starred in the upcoming film Vendetta, set for release in late 2022.

In addition to his music and film career, Ky-Mani is deeply committed to giving back to his homeland of Jamaica. His youth soccer program, Falmouth United, helps empower young athletes, combining his passion for music and sports.

This December, Ky-Mani will bring his signature sound and infectious energy to Boulder for an unforgettable night at the Fox Theatre. Attendees can expect a powerful performance blending reggae classics, modern beats, and a taste of new music from his forthcoming album.
