The effort bookends an ambitious year-long undertaking for the band that pays homage to their ever-sharpening live show celebrating the band’s improvisational prowess and iconic setlists.

Earlier in the year the band released “People Everywhere (Shifting Sands Remix),” from the set, which was their own fresh take on The Universe Smiles Upon You classic. Revisit here:  khruangbin.lnk.to/people-everywhere-shifting-sands-rmx

Here, career-spanning songs like “A Calf Born in Winter,” “Maria También,” “So We Won’t Forget,” “Shida” and “Friday Morning” arrive in their full interplanetary glory, recorded at one of the most celebrated venues on earth, the Sydney Opera House. The band’s debut solo performance at the famed Opera House arrived in style in November 2022 with a three-night sold-out run cementing themselves amongst the innumerable stars who have also taken the stage.

The double LP follows four live albums from the band released earlier this year with guests including Kelly Doyle, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers and Robert Ellis from Austin, Texas’ Stubb’s, Nubya Garcia at NYC’s Radio City, Men I Trust at RBC Echo Beach in Toronto and Toro y Moi at The Fillmore, Miami.

Known for their marriage of sounds from across the world – including “a mix of R&B, reggae, surf rock, Middle Eastern melodies, Persian phrasing, Latin rhythms, ’90s hip-hop, West African instrumentation, ethereal harmonies, psychedelic effects and rump-shaking disco,” says Vanity Fair— Khruangbin has been on countless global tours, and graced nearly every major festival stage in the world including Glastonbury, Primavera, Coachella, & more.

A tried and true touring band, Khruangbin embarked on their most monumental tour to date in 2022 which included multiple sold out nights at LA’s Greek Theatre, NYC’s Radio City Music Hall and a legendary performance at London's iconic Alexandra Palace. As their own live show grows a steadfast following, the band has been equally committed to showcasing their favorite musicians with an effervescent palate highlighting a diverse repertoire of touring-mates.

Alongside these ground-breaking touring accomplishments, Khruangbin collaborated with Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré last year on a collaborative album honoring Vieux’s late father, Ali Farka Touré which was highlighted everywhere from The New York Times and NPR (“labyrinthine fusion of dub, blues and Malian grooves,”), to GQ who says “there’s a placelessness to the band Khruangbin that, counterintuitively, gives them their gravity.” The band also released their second collaborative EP with Leon Bridges, that same year, the sultry, chart-topping Texas Moon, which garnered award nominations and widespread critical acclaim from The New York Times, NPR, Uproxx, Vulture, FADER and more while pushing the boundaries of R&B.
