The Lemon Twigs, the brilliant brotherly duo of Brian and Michael D’Addario, will return to the Fox Theatre on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Riding the wave of acclaim from their latest release, "A Dream Is All I Know," the D’Addario brothers invite listeners on a joyous escapade through their meticulously crafted, vintage-inspired soundscapes.
Fresh off the heels of 2023’s critically acclaimed "Everything Harmony," Brian (26) and Michael (24) are enjoying a premature but well-deserved "comeback." It’s an early return that perfectly captures the energy of their youth coupled with their veteran-level songwriting prowess. Shedding the melancholy tones of their previous works, "A Dream Is All I Know" takes listeners back to the vibrant echoes of their celebrated debut "Do Hollywood," evoking the lush sonic textures of 1968.
The album, described by Brian as a “hopeful sojourn into the realm of dreams,” is a vivid revival of their signature retro charm, rich with jangly 12-string guitars, Merseybeat energy, and lush harmonies reminiscent of The Beach Boys, The Four Freshman, and The Free Design. Lead single "My Golden Years" bursts with urgency, pairing catchy melodies with reflective lyrics on fleeting youth.
Further highlights include the effervescent "If You And I Are Not Wise," a song Michael describes as an essential escapist anthem, stating, “Everyone needs an escape when life gets heavy.” Other standout tracks like the bubblegum brilliance of “Church Bells,” featuring Roy Wood-inspired orchestration, and the baroque exploration of "Sweet Vibration," showcase the brothers' ever-evolving songwriting maturity and genre-bending artistry.
