Lilly Hiatt released her new single “Hidden Day” today via New West Records. Produced by Scot Sax, the single is her latest in a line of standalone songs Lilly has independently released over the past year. “Hidden Day” is the first new music issued by New West since her Lately LP in 2021. Met with critical acclaim, Slant Magazine awarded the album 4 out of 5 stars, saying, “Lilly Hiatt’s Lately is the artist’s most daring, experimental album to date,” while Glide Magazine said “...if there is any justice in the world, Lately will find the audience it truly deserves.”

Lilly says, “I wrote this with my friend Scot Sax on a sunny day in East Nashville. We were in agreement that a hidden day would be much to everyone’s advantage. Then we decided we would make one of our own.” The video was directed by Scot Sax and features him on drums, Bear Mitchell on bass, and Molly Martin on guitar as well.
“Hidden Day” is available ahead of Lilly’s North American tour launching tomorrow night in Nashville, TN. The live performance is one of the first held at the newly opened Cannery Hall. The 26-date trek also features stops at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia, Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY, The Beachland Tavern in Cleveland, OH, ACL Live in Austin, TX, 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis, MN, Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR and more.
