Globally acclaimed producer Manic Focus (John ‘Jmac’ McCarten) releases 'Fractured' today, marking the Denver-based composer's first release of the year. The single is a harmonic balance of electronic bass music, country rap, and soul with "chopped & screwed" hip-hop influences.
McCarten stays true to his electro-soul style by opening ‘Fractured’ with a crooning soul vocal and mellow, plucked bass guitar melody. The drums, bass and guitar instrumentals give an organic foundation to the track, which gives way to driving hip-hop beats and catchy samples such as “I’m in here blowin’ money, I’m in here poppin’ rubber bands.”
The release of ‘Fractured’ follows a stacked year of music releases in 2020, where McCarten used the extra time in the studio that he would have spent touring to put out 7 singles and 1 EP collaboration. This year will be no different, with McCarten planning to release another steady stream of music content for his fans on a regular basis.
