It’s been five years since beloved California-based rock band The Mother Hips released new music - and they certainly didn’t disappoint with latest single, “It’s Alright.”

The video for the song, released in late March, showcases the band’s notoriously close relationship with fans (who were encouraged to send clips of themselves for inclusion in the video) and offers a generous helping of adventure - something the band is known for.

“I adore this video and the way fans have been responding to it,” said Greg Loiacono, co-founder of The Mother Hips. “Having played a few shows since its release, I have had folks come up to me and tell me how much fun they had making their clips...and how excited they are to see themselves and their friends and family in the video”.

The Mother Hips recently wrapped up a west coast tour run - their first organized tour since co-founder Tim Bluhm’s speed flying accident in 2016. Since their last release (Chronicle Man in 2014), the band has weathered a series of personal changes, as well as dabbled in a number of outside and solo projects. Nonetheless, the band has maintained their ties with fans: after Bluhm’s accident, fans and friends organized a fundraiser on his behalf.
