The Movement’s new album Golden has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart. This is the trio’s sixth studio album and the first release on Rootfire Cooperative, a label services program that provides interest free loans for the production and marketing of recorded music. The Movement, comprised of Joshua Swain (guitar, lead vocals), Jason “Smiles” Schmidt (bass, moog, vocals), Gary Jackson (drums), has garnered critical acclaim and earned a dedicated fan base for their infectious reggae throughout a decade-long career. They kicked off their national “Golden Hearts Tour” on March 19 in their hometown of Columbia, South Carolina.
