Nathan Quick is premiering his new single “Southern Miles” via Glide Magazine. Listen here: https://bit.ly/2XbEPxi. As a song of remembrance to a friend and bandmate of Quick’s, “Southern Miles” is an emotional, yet enthralling journey through the stages of grief. “There is a ghost left in the music,” Quick describes. “This song evokes the struggle, loss, acceptance, and memories of our experiences of the road, and in life." “Southern Miles” will appear on Quick’s upcoming album Howling At The Moon due out this fall. The single will be available for streaming/purchase on all online platforms this Friday, 5/31. For more information on Nathan Quick, please visit: http://nathanquickmusic.com/.
Nathan Quick is a multi-Houston Press Music Award-winning singer/songwriter who delivers a raspy growl atop lush rock rhythms and swaggering lead guitar. His sound draws from an eclectic pool of genres including classic rock and roll, southern rock, blues and country, as displayed throughout his vibrant discography.
Since releasing his debut EP The Mile in 2014, Quick has been busy establishing himself as a force within the Houston music scene. Free Press Houston lauded his 2016 album, The Sound, writing, “Nathan Quick has really dug deep to offer up some of those Southern blues tones that we so rarely get to hear anymore”, while the Houston Press commended his 2018 LP The Other Side for its “bluesy riffs and gut wrenching vocals”. Quick is also a regular in the live music scene of Houston, frequently playing venues like The Continental Club, Truck Yard and McGonigel's Mucky Duck.
Quick is now gearing up to release his new album Howling At The Moon this fall. A former offshore roughneck, Quick explores universal themes like love, loss and redemption on the record recorded in Los Angeles with producer Bruce Witkin (The White Buffalo/Joe Perry/LA Guns).
