Fast-rising jam band Grateful Shred headlines a benefit for the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy (OVLC) at stunning outdoor venue Libbey Bowl in Ojai, CA the weekend of July 30-31, 2022.
In addition to Grateful Shred, who perform both days, the concert event features an eclectic mix of musical acts, along with locally sourced vendors and more. Taking place in the sylvan confines of Ojai’s Libbey Park, it’s an exciting opportunity for the people of Ojai and its surrounding community to join together to enjoy two days of music and art this summer with friends and neighbors in support of an important wildlife and land conservation cause. LA-based, national touring band Grateful Shred, are known for their unique laid-back harmony driven sound, bringing their own flavor to the beloved music of Grateful Dead. The two day festival is produced and sponsored by the local Ojai collective of OVLC, Ojai Playhouse, Little Creek Events and Rum & Humble. Sponsored by Sespe Creek Collective, The event will feature contributions from local Ojai artists, vendors, and production team. This will be one of the first events connected to the rejuvenated Ojai Playhouse, which is currently under renovation, opening their doors to a new theater-going experience in the 2022-2023 season.

About The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy:
The OVLC is a nonprofit, non-governmental, land protection organization supported by private donations. We work to protect and restore the open space, wildlife habitat, watersheds, and views of the Ojai Valley for current and future generations.
In the Ojai Valley, the OVLC manages roughly 2,300 acres of open space—this is an area roughly equal in size to 2/3 of the City of Ojai. Of this, 2,000 acres are open free for public access—this is five times as much land in this area as is managed, for free public access, by the City of Ojai and Ventura County combined. This includes 4.5 of the 16 miles of the Ventura River. On these lands the OVLC maintains 27 miles of trail, guides hundreds of visitors, and hosts tens of thousands of school children, hikers, equestrians, and others each year.
Open space protected by the OVLC is preserved in perpetuity for the benefit of the community. Working with willing landowners on a voluntary basis, land is either protected by its acquisition or through a land conservation agreement.
