The Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival initial line-up was unveiled last month alongside a special look at the festival’s Sunshine Grove site. Both clips and more can be viewed now at the official Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival YouTube channel.
The Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is Florida’s biggest ever camping festival to date, with an extraordinary multi-genre bill boasting multiple major headline artists, more than 80 artists, bands, and DJs from around the globe performing on five diverse stages.
“Although we have booked an amazing artist lineup for Okeechobee, this festival is so much more than just great music” adds Soundslinger Founder & Chief Executive Officer Steve Sybesma, “It is the realization of the collaborative effort of my partners and colleagues to create something special and unique in a magical space, a place to spend some days and immerse yourself in all that it offers.”
“Sunshine Grove”, which contains The Grove and Moonlight Oasis, is 800 acres of pristine South Florida land with beautiful lakes and natural scenery. The Grove features the three main stages surrounded by a Jurassic Park like tropical woods. Moonlight Oasis contains 3 distinct areas: The Lakeside Swimming Beach, Yogachobee and the Jungle Stage. The Lakeside Swimming Beach features the Beach Stage, the Beach Bar, a Ferris Wheel, and more. Yogachobee features yoga, workshops, flow arts, performance, visionary art, interactive spaces, sculptures, sound healing, thai massage, and a healing house. The Jungle Stage, a dusk-till-dawn stage in a tropical outer space setting, showcases some of the world’s best house and techno artists, to be announced soon.
One of the highlights of the festival is ”PoWow! A Live Superstar Mashup,” featuring once-in-a-lifetime artist collaborations produced by Paul Peck, the creative force behind the world famous Bonnaroo SuperJam. Peck’s curative aesthetic will ensure major surprises and special performances will be a key part of the event.
