The North Beach Bandshell asks, why should tourists have all the fun? This summer, locals are invited to staycation in North Beach. Plan your summer to enjoy the ocean, charming local restaurants, and world-class live music at the historic Bandshell all summer long.
In putting together this dense and wonderful calendar, the Rhythm Foundation - managers of the Bandshell for the City of Miami Beach - have coordinated with top presenters of cultural and commercial concerts and events. The series also includes plenty of free public events and activities for kids.
“Miami Beach has become a year-round seaside cultural destination.” explains James Quinlan, Director of the Rhythm Foundation.“Top off your day with an outdoor evening concert cooled by an ocean breeze at the Bandshell or any of the free performances presented by Miami Beach On Stage. Combined with our incredible dining experiences, museums, libraries, cinemas, and the best swimming beach in North America. This is your Seaside Summer! “
Some highlights include the return of jazz pianist Robert Glasper, the celebration of Juneteenth, and the Miami Beach debut of Cuban-born singer and flutist La Dame Blanche. The calendar will also see the return to the use of the Bandshell as a roller rink with Beach Skate - Skating at the Bandshell. No matter your taste, the North Beach Bandshell will be home to it all this summer.
The calendar will also feature shows included in the City of Miami Beach’s OnStage free outdoor program calendar. More info about this series can be found here.
