S.G. Goodman continues to soar to new heights this year with sold out headline shows and tours with Jason Isbell, Margo Price and Tyler Childers, plus Fall US Headline tour dates, major debuts at the Ryman and Opry, and a nomination at 2023 Americana Awards for Best Emerging Artist.

S.G. Goodman has had a busy year, having toured extensively on her own, selling out shows around the United States, as well as opening performances for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and Tyler Childers. More dates to come this fall, including a run with Margo Price (Sept 11-17), Red Rocks with Tyler Childers (Sept 27-28), the Ryman with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit (Oct 15), and a headline tour starting in October. Tyler Childers recently announced the track list for his highly anticipated new album Rustin In the Rain: the last track is a cover of Goodman’s aching, heartbreaking song “Space And Time.” Goodman sings backing vocals alongside Margo Price and Erin Rae on that song and Luke 2:8-10. At Americanafest, Goodman will perform at the Americana Awards Show on September 20, 2023. She’ll also participate on two panels: The first discusses the history, legacy and current state of Kentucky’s music scene alongside Kentucky’s poet laureate Silas House, Kelsey Waldon and Nat Myers. The second is the Recording Academy’s official panel celebrating 100 years of Hank Williams. She’ll also perform at the Country Music Hall of Fame Theater for a Hank Williams tribute. S.G. Goodman is an official Americana Awards nominee this year in the category of Best Emerging Artist alongside Adeem the Artist, Sunny War, Thee Sacred Souls, and William Prince.. This is Goodman’s first Americana nomination and will mark her debut performance on the stage of The Ryman Auditorium. She will be back opening for Jason Isbell + the 400 Unit on October 15.

Recording Academy Hank Williams at 100 – Sept 21
This panel will explore the continued influence of Hank Williams, particularly among the artists driving a sparkling revival of traditional country and folk music. It will be moderated by Grammy Executive Vice President Sean Smith, a former Obama administration official and editor of Saddle Mountain Post, and features panelists Lynne Sheridan, S.G. Goodman, Donald Cusic, and William Prince.
