Shoe Fest has announced the highly anticipated first round of artists for its 2025 event, promising an eclectic mix of legendary musicians, rising stars, and beloved returning acts. Scheduled for August 29-31, 2025, at Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See in Manteno, Illinois, Shoe Fest offers festival-goers an unforgettable weekend of music, community, and outdoor adventure.
Grammy Award winner and Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inductee Peter Rowan will headline alongside festival favorites Old Shoe, who will deliver two nights of their infectious performances. Rowan's storied career spans from his early years performing with bluegrass pioneer Bill Monroe to his groundbreaking work with Old & In the Way alongside icons Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. At Shoe Fest, Rowan will collaborate with the Sam Grisman Project—led by David "Dawg" Grisman’s son—to celebrate the timeless magic of Old & In the Way.
The 2025 lineup also welcomes first-time Shoe Fest performances from notable acts including LaMP, the dynamic trio featuring Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski (Trey Anastasio Band) alongside guitarist Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead). Fans will also enjoy sets from acclaimed singer-songwriter Tyler Ramsey (formerly of Band of Horses), artist-at-large Allie Kral, Chicago Farmer and the Fieldnotes, progressive bluegrass group Arkansauce, Mr. Blotto, high-energy jam band Dizgo, The Fretliners, Rucksack Revolution—a collaboration between Adam Greuel of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades and Sarah Vos of Dead Horses, It's Ice (Chicago-based Phish tribute), Chester Brown, Bird Song Quartet, Janky Limo, Carrie Sue & The Wood Burners, Fox Crossing Stringband, Mr. Dave, and Future of Rock.
Organizers hint at an additional "big ole rowdy and rippin" headliner still to be announced, promising even more excitement as Shoe Fest draws near.
