Pioneers of psychedelic electronica Shpongle—the acclaimed duo comprised of Simon Posford and Raja Ram—are set to bring their mind-bending live experience to Denver’s Mission Ballroom on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Shpongle, formed in 1996 after Posford and Ram witnessed a life-changing solar eclipse in India, has long been celebrated for weaving global sounds, ambient textures, and hypnotic beats into an unparalleled sonic tapestry. Over the years, they have released six studio albums, performed two sold-out shows at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2019, and remain a guiding force in the evolution of psychedelic music. Their seventh album—slated for release in 2026—is already in progress, promising yet another chapter of boundary-pushing creativity.

In addition to Simon Posford (Live), the two-night lineup will include:

  • Hallucinogen
  • Younger Brother
  • LTJ Bukem (performing on April 26)
  • Spoonbill (performing on April 25)
  • Ovoid (performing on April 26)

ABOUT SHPONGLE

Formed after an awe-inspiring solar eclipse in 1996, Shpongle quickly earned renown for merging ambient, electronica, and world music elements into immersive sonic journeys. Their groundbreaking debut album, Are You Shpongled?, released in 1999, set the stage for further explorations, including Tales of the Inexpressible (2001) and Nothing Lasts… But Nothing Is Lost (2005). Despite announcing a hiatus, the duo returned with Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland (2009), the God Particle EP (2010), Museum of Consciousness (2013), and their most recent release, Codex VI (2017). In 2019, Shpongle captivated audiences with two sold-out live-band performances at Red Rocks. Now, they are back with an epic two-night run in Denver, reigniting the Shpongle phenomenon and teasing new music ahead of their planned 2026 release.
