Sigh in July helps diversify Athens’ culture by connecting all creative modalities in a community celebration. Each year, Sigh In July gives back to the community by partnering with a local Non-Profit organization. This year we are honored to have partnered with Nuçi's Space and We're hEAR For You!

 

The unique jazz-rock fusion group, Universal Sigh, developed an expansive local following through relentless touring, collaborative performances, and unique song writing. Universal Sigh promotes acceptance, community, and sustainability for the future. Sigh In July brings to life Universal Sigh’s vision of connecting widespread artistic communities through the magic of music. The festival highlights important social issues through the wide-array of musical perspectives such as, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Fusion, Rock, World, Contemporary, Electronic and Jam. Sigh in July 2015 and 2016 have included over 30 bands in addition to live visual artists, acro yoga performances, food trucks, and open market artisan vending.

 

Headliners for the festival this year include Atlanta's Voodoo Visionary, Wilmington's Groove Fetish, Asheville's Jahman Brahman, and Denver's Cycles.
