Spafford, the dynamic jam band known for their unparalleled improvisational prowess, took the stage at Charleston Pour House on November 15, delivering an unforgettable show that left the crowd in awe. The highlight of the evening was the debut of the 19-minute epic, "Duncan's Uncle."

The first set started with the vibrant "Fünkenseven," setting the tone for a night of musical exploration. "Take A Picture," the cover of Filter's hit sung by drummer Nick Tkachyk, was followed by the band's new original, "Motel 6," introduced earlier in the Fall Tour. The energy soared with "Backdoor Funk" before culminating in the captivating "Duncan's Uncle," showcasing Spafford's ability to weave intricate musical narratives.

The second set set the tone for the rest of the night with the seamless "Lovesick Melody" call followed by its classic response, "Soil." However, Spafford injected a surprise element, interrupting the familiar groove with the fan-favorite "Mind's Unchained" before returning to the hypnotic rhythm of "Soil." The set continued to captivate with "Doghouse" transitioning seamlessly into "Part ii," creating a musical journey that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The night concluded with an encore of "Eternity."

Spafford was back for a second night at the Charleston Pour House last night November 16 and then headed to JamBurg 2023 in Leesburg, FL, before taking a break for the Thanksgiving holiday. They will return to North Carolina at the Visulite Theatre in Charlotte for a two-night run on November 30 and December 1 followed by a headline performance in Atlanta @ Variety Playhouse with guests Al & Rob (moe.stly acoustic).
