The Steven Graves Band, The Lakota People's Law Project, and Don Quixotes International Music Hall in Felton California are hosting a benefit concert in support of the Standing Rock Legal Defense Fund on September 10th at Don Quixotes in Felton (7 PM). Renowned public defender, Daniel Sheehan (Wounded Knee, Karen Silkwood, Iran-Contra, etc) and Principal at the Lakota People's Law Project, is Chief Counsel defending Chase Iron Eyes and other Standing Rock water protectors wrongly charged with felonies and facing prison sentences for standing up to the fossil fuel industry. This is a crucial case that will have national and international implications given the worldwide support for Standing Rock and the well known human rights violations that occurred there against peaceful protestors. The event features several Native American performers including Kanyon Sayers Rood (Ohlone) and Eddie Wayayona Gallegos (Lakota) and the Steven Graves Band. Steven and his extra large band have recently released a new song on Standing Rock called "Stand For the People" which is currently under consideration for "Song of The Year" at this year's Native American Music Awards.
