Singer-Songwriter, Tara Hack, will be releasing her new single, “Overthinking” on December 4th, 2020 through Ephilm Productions, LLC. The tune will be a part of her untitled, forthcoming album, out next year. Joining Hack on the song is platinum-selling, singer-songwriter, Ryan Cabrera, the mastermind behind global smashes such as “On the Way Down,” “True” and “Shine On,” as well as albums including 2004’s RIAA certified platinum album, Take It All Away, which hit #8 on the Billboard Top 200.
The lyrics behind “Overthinking,” written by Hack, Anthony Babino and Steven Babino, were born from the singer’s indecisiveness to pursue a career in music. “For me, as an artist, I've dealt with a mix of knowing that I am going to pursue this until I've got nothing left, and wondering if it's time to try something else,” says Hack. “It can be tough to amp yourself up and not get discouraged.”
Luckily for Hack, her overthinking has led her to team up with one of her musical idols. “Ryan Cabrera's album, Take It All Away, was definitely a big motivator for me as an artist - specifically, his track ‘On the Way Down,’” she says. “The fact that he wanted to work with me was pretty surreal. Especially, on a song that was based on me questioning whether I should be pursuing this profession or not.”
“I had an absolute blast working with Tara Hack on “Overthinking,” said Cabrera. “She is such a talented writer and up-and-coming artist! Be on the lookout!”
Tara Hack was discovered as a New York City subway busker in the Big Apple’s bustling Penn Station while playing for huge crowds of New York commuters.
