Video & Party Will Reveal Mishawaka's Lineup

The annual announcement of the Mishawaka Amphitheatre concert season lineup will get special attention this year as part of the venue’s ongoing 100th anniversary celebration. A party at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery on Saturday, April 16 will provide the setting for an exclusive first look at the Mish 100 concert calendar; a short film highlighting the Mishawaka will also debut that evening at the museum’s OtterBox Digital Dome Theater. An acoustic performance from local favorites Post Paradise, and an opportunity for guests to view the museum’s High Park Fire exhibit will round out the evening’s activities.

While tickets for the event are limited to 100 invited guests total, 50 will be made available to the general public via a social media contest said Dani Grant, Mishawaka Amphitheatre general manager. “The history, and the future, of the Mishawaka is a community story,” Grant said. “We want people to share their pictures and memories with us in celebration of the Mishawaka’s anniversary. The community is the real keeper of the history of the Mish -- the “Mishtory”, as we like to call it. We’d love to give everyone a chance to collectively share those Mish moments.” The Mishawaka staff will select the 50 party guests via social media shares tagged with #Mish100, Grant said.

Grant also enlisted Koi-Fly Creative Productions to help capture the story of the Mishawaka via a video that will premiere during the event. "Working closely on this project with people who express such heartfelt commitment to their place of work was magic,” said Stacey Grant, Koi-Fly’s president and executive producer. “With each day of the shoot we found ourselves falling deeper in love with this iconic, community-revered, 100-year-old landmark. We think the pure spirit of this place will translate beautifully on film. Long live The Mish."

Three Mishawaka shows will be pre-announced March 1, but the lion’s share of the lineup will be presented at the April 16 event. In addition to being the first people to see the 2016 concert calendar, guests will be given a special code at the event to pre-purchase tickets (prior to them being made available to Mish Insiders on Monday, April 18, and the general public on Wednesday, April 20).
