With the “Music” portion of the inaugural Phases Of The Moon Music + Art Festival in full swing, the Phases team is proud to announce the lineup for the festival’s second major component, the “Art.”
The Phases Of The Moon Music + Art Festival already boasts an impressive list of musical performers in its first year, including, Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, Bob Weir & Ratdog, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Leon Russell, Galactic, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Donavon Frankenreiter, Sam Bush Band, and many more. (View full lineup HERE). The addition of this incredible and diverse collection of renown visual and performance artists is sure to make the four-day event a festival experience like no other.
The amazing visual art will feature giant sculptures, large-scale installations and dazzling visual displays. Many of the attending artists have been seen at events throughout the U.S. including Burning Man, Symbiosis Gatherings, Lightning in a Bottle, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival and more. To stimulate the senses, Phases of the Moon has also brought in an eclectic array of heralded performances artists. From the giant puppets of the Astral Gypsies to the exotic Quixotic to the captivating acrobatics of Tammy Firefly to circus arts collectives Big Fun Circus, Nomadic Circus, Fractal Tribe and more, this lineup will astonish, astound and amaze. Along with the incredible music and art, Phases Of The Moon offers something for all, including the transformative healing space called The Sanctuary, The Crescent Moon Kids Camp, miles of hiking trails, the scenic 170-acre Lake Mingo, placid ponds, flowing streams, farm-to-table food, a farmer’s market, a mall of diverse craft vendors and so much more.
The Phases Of The Moon Music + Art Festival will take place September 11-14 at the 3000 acre Kennekuk County Park outside Danville, IL. The park is just a short drive from a number of major metropolitan areas – 2.5 hours from Chicago, 1.5 hours from Indianapolis, less than 1 hour from Champaign, and about 3.5 hours from St. Louis.
