Borderland Festival has announced the addition of country guitar powerhouse Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country to the 2024 festival lineup. The four-piece act, led by Donato’s comprehensive arsenal of country, jam, and blues licks, will perform on Friday, September 13th, at the historic Knox Farm State Park—the home of all six years of Western New York’s premier music festival, Borderland.
The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour, featuring Slash and many of his musical friends, is a celebration of blues music. Slash was introduced to the blues early in life by his grandmother, who played him B.B. King and Albert King records. The blues genre has always resonated with Slash, incorporating its sound and feeling into his rock and roll musical style.
On August 30 Smithsonian Folkways presents Pieces of Home by renowned musicians Dan + Claudia Zanes. For almost 25 years Dan Zanes has been known as a pioneer and a leader in family music, bringing people of all ages together and blending cultures and genres in his distinct voice, style and vision. For the past decade, Claudia Zanes has brought her skill and extensive history as a jazz vocalist and her experience compassionately practicing community music therapy to performing with Dan.

“Too Lonely, Way Too Long” (written by Rick Faris, produced by Stephen Mougin) is a song from Rick's third solo album release Uncommon Sky (2023) on Dark Shadow Recording.
The song features Del McCoury on harmony vocals, Jerry Douglas on resophonic guitar and Rick's studio band - Laura Orshaw on fiddle, Zak McLamb on bass, Harry Clark on mandolin and Luke Munday on banjo.

Dazzle, the renowned jazz club, is marking its first anniversary at the Denver Performing Arts Complex with a series of four spectacular shows on July 31st and August 1st, at 7 PM and 9 PM each night.
Matt Ruff, Owner and Operations Manager, reflects on the journey, “The process to get to the Arts Complex was long and arduous, but I felt this was the correct move for Dazzle. One year at this location has given me proof that we are finally home."
