Traveler, Trey Anastasio's forthcoming solo album, will be released on October 16 on Rubber Jungle Records / ATO Records. Trey co-produced the album with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Jonsi) last fall in Katis' Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Along with Trey Anastasio Band, Katis invited several artists to work with them, including Mates of State's Kori Gardner, The National's Bryan Devendorf and Matt Berninger, and Icelandic percussionist Samuli Kosminen. Widespread Panic has announced the October 16 release of Wood, a double live CD featuring selections from the band’s first-ever fully acoustic 2012 Wood Tour. A special limited edition 3 LP Wood boxed will be released simultaneously. Wood will be available digitally and at retail.The Wood boxed set includes 180 gram vinyl, a 12 page photo booklet with liner notes written by Widespread Panic lead singer John Bell and an exclusive limited edition color letterpress poster made at the legendary Hatch Show Print woodblock letterpress shop in Nashville, TN.

It's not often that a new album resonates with a sense of history and timeliness. But the 11-song DREAMS OF THE SAN JOAQUIN, to be released September 25, 2012 by independent Blix Street Records, does both. Anchored by its participants' deep roots in California's great agricultural region, the album honors the stories and musical styles of the massive valley that first welcomed the Dust Bowl refugees and migrant workers amid the economic strife of the 1930s and 1940s.

Melody Walker’s debut album, GOLD RUSH GODDESS, will be released nationally Aug. 28, but she and partner Jacob Groopman already have reason to celebrate: With their band Front Country, they won the band competition at RockyGrass, the July festival founded 40 years ago by bluegrass icon Bill Monroe.

Canadian pop-rock icons Tegan and Sara are hitting the road this Fall. Before linking up with The Black Keys for the west coast leg of their arena tour, Tegan and Sara just announced that they'll be playing a handful of club shows leading into it. They'll hit Vancouver, Seattle, Boise, and Eugene before playing at the Harmony By The Bay Festival in San Francisco. Additionally, the band is confirmed to play Austin City Limits this October.Tegan & Sara have completed their new album, which is set to come out in early 2013.
