Legendary funk-rock singer Nona Hendryx is back and bolder than ever on her new album – Mutatis Mutandis – set to be released by Righteous Babe Records on July 31, 2012, out digitally on July 10.  The 10-track album is Nona’s first full length in twenty years and she’s returning in a big way.

Dumpstaphunk treated the Highline Ballroom to a surprise double-dose of funk royalty last Wednesday, June 6 as the legendary "Queen of Funk" - Chaka Khan - shared the stage with Ivan Neville's all star New Orleans funk ensemble for the pair's first ever live collaboration.The private performance was for book distributor Publishers Group West (PGW)‘s annual BookExpo America party, which opened the night with a set from Brooklyn funk favorites, the Pimps of Joytime.

The auction features a lineup of musical heavy hitters including Phish, String Cheese Incident, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Widespread Panic, Radiohead, and more.The auction will benefit several organizations including

Delbert McClinton, Marcia Ball, Augie Meyers, Shawn Sahm, Terri Hendrix and a cast of Texas music headliners and legendary side men will perform as part of an all-night, all-star tribute to musician, philanthropist and beloved patron of the music scene, Lucky Tomblin, at 7:00PM on Sunday, September, 2nd.  The Tribute, titled “A Labor of Love – A Musical Tribute Honoring Lucky Tomblin,” will be held at the Texas Music Theater, 120 E.

Leftover Salmon has announced dates for their 2012 Fall Tour, which sees several familiar stops, some of which the band has not visited in over a decade.
