The Cure: Bestival Live 2011 saw a release on December 6th via Sunday Best Recordings, and today the band is sharing a live video for “A Forest,” which Pitchfork premiered earlier today.

Over the course of ten albums, not to mention an avalanche of side projects, remixes and collaborations, Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma of Mouse On Mars established themselves as two of the most inventive and unpredictable artists in electronic music. However, since they delivered the bracing, angular salvo that was Varcharz back in 2006, there has been an uncharacteristic period of silence.In 2012, that silence is broken.

Brooklyn based band, SoftSpot, comprised of three musical friends with an ever aligning path along the creatively spiritual are revealing the fruits of their endeavors in a manner much like the unraveling of their songs.  Sarah Kinlaw, an operatically trained vocalist and bassist, brings a penetratingly honest presence into the live element that is terrifyingly contagious.  She and Bryan Keller have known each other since kindergarten and have grown together as artists throughout the years.

Colorado quartet Head for the Hills has announced their 2011 plans for New Year’s. On 12/30, the band performs at the historic Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO, presented by the SAF Holiday Concert Series.
