April 19, 2018 will be the 75th Anniversary of Bicycle Day, the fated day in 1943 when the Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann took the world's first intentional acid trip. The date is called Bicycle Day because Hofmann rode home from his lab on his bike as the psychedelic effects of the substance began to take hold.

Expo also just announced their pre-party celebration presented by ERB Magazine at the famous Howlin’ Wolf in the French Quarter on Thursday, October 25 at 10PM; with performances by electronic/reggae artist DJ Gaudi (from London, UK) and psychedelic rock group MOTH XP (from Maui, Hawaii). Alex Grey is an artist specializing in spiritual and psychedelic art (or visionary art) that is sometimes associated with the New Age movement. Alex Grey is a Vajrayana practitioner. His oeuvre spans a variety of forms including performance art, process art, installation art, sculpture, and painting. Grey is a member of the Integral Institute.

I went to NYC on November 10, 2007 to see Phil Lesh and Friends at the Nokia Theater in Times Square – in and of itself quite an event.  I had taken a train from Philadelphia late, on a whim and with just my black zip up hoodie on my back.   When I got to the show, some friends of mine handed me a flyer for the Net of Being opening party.
