New Jersey-raised and Brooklyn-based artist and producer FLAMINGOSIS, the creative project of Aaron Velasquez, has made a name for himself based on his innovative musical stylings, seamlessly melding together soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, and electronic. Today (2/13), he’s announcing news that his next album, his sixth full-length project titled Better Will Come, will be released on May 10 via his own label Kahuna Style.

HELMET have announced a second North American leg of their Look Left Tour on the band’s site and socials. The band’s 9th album, Left, was released last November on earMusic to accolades. Louder Sound proclaiming it, “... the best record they’ve done in nearly 20 years,” and Guitar World musing, “Left… has (lead singer/guitarist, Page) Hamilton expressing himself with antagonistic, full-throated fervor. Helmet’s latest is likewise a nuanced, parameter-expanding release for the veteran unit.”

Pianist, vocalist and composer Samora Pinderhughes will share a new song, “Keith LaMar: Sweet,” on February 20 alongside a video.

Written by Pinderhughes with LaMar and Rafiq Bhatia (Son Lux), the single will serve as part of Pinderhughes’ The Healing Project—an interdisciplinary initiative that uses music, film and exhibition to tell the healing stories of people around the country who experience structural violence—and the Justice for Keith LaMar campaign entitled “Letters to Keith.”

Irish Bluegrass band JigJam has announced their new album Across The Pond, set to release Friday, March 1. The 12-track collection will showcase the band’s “lovely” (Bluegrass Today) blend of traditional Irish music meets bluegrass meets Americana, delivering a cohesive narrative of the Irish journey to America.

Paris’, the double live album by The Cure, has turned 30 years old, and to celebrate, remastered 2LP and 1CD versions will be reissued featuring two bonus tracks.

‘Paris’ has been remastered by Robert Smith and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, London. The LP, which is being issued on black vinyl for the first time since 1993, was cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road.
