Bluegrass Underground, the 2nd longest music series on national television behind Austin City Limits, will debuted on PBS stations September 10th, 2022 as The Caverns Sessions with an episode featuring Nashville-based, festival favorites Moon Taxi.

After months of planning and preparation, The Caverns Amphitheater celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, June 25th with a ribbon cutting ceremony and Old Crow Medicine Show’s Hootenanny with Willie Watson, Joshua Hedley and Town Mountain. The new outdoor venue is the latest addition to The Caverns, which is world-renown for its cave concerts, and follows recent expansions including daily walking tours and adventure caving expeditions, an on-site campground for post-show guests, and a new Camp Caverns summer camp for kids.

Opening day is approaching for Tennessee’s newest outdoor venue: The Caverns Amphitheater! On June 25th, Old Crow Medicine Show’s Hootenanny with Willie Watson, Joshua Hedley and Town Mountain kicks off the first full capacity season. The Caverns, recently named the “Favorite Southern Music Venue” by Garden & Gun, is excited to offer fans an outdoor concert experience with enhanced concessions, food trucks, stunning views, onsite camping and more.

Held in highest esteem, gleaning comparisons to Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, The Black Crowes and Collective Soul, The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies are bringing their unique Southern rock blend underground on Saturday, July 9th!

On May 30th, in honor of Dia de los Muertos The Caverns is hosting a special event to be aired on PBS later this year. The celebration of The Day of the Dead has become a globally recognized Latinx holiday, traditionally observed on the first two days of November. Dia de los Muertos sees families and friends of loved ones who have died pay respect with colorful, memorial gatherings often taking the air of a joyful celebration rather than of mourning for the departed.

Acclaimed live music destination The Caverns has partnered with prominent dynamic jamtronic band Papadosio to present Subterranea Festival, an intimate 1,200 capacity two-night spectacle in southeast Tennessee.

The Caverns is proud to announce it’s first, full capacity outdoor show featuring Fleet Foxes on Sunday, July 31st at The Caverns Amphitheater. The venue, originally opened in the fall of 2020 as a socially-distanced venue in response to COVID-19 with limited capacity, will now host full capacity crowds of up to 5,500 guests per show with an estimated 10 shows in 2022, and 30 shows in 2023.
