On February 5th, independently owned record stores across the country will be selling a limited edition benefit compilation titled “A Benefit For Equality Vol. 1”. It celebrates black artistry in the blues genre with proceeds going to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). This one-time pressing is limited to only 500 copies.

Renowned bluesman Cedric Burnside grandson of legendary R.L. Burnside is gearing up for the release of BENTON COUNTY RELIC, out September 14 on Single Lock Records. The first single is the gritty track "We Made It" a matter-of-fact recitation of his poverty-stricken childhood without running water, radio or TV (“I come from nothin’/I done been lower than low/I keep my head straight/No matter how low I go”).

The Cedric Burnside Project (CBP) returns to Young Avenue Deli on Valentine’s Day for a concert that is sure to be a sweet treat for music lovers across the Mid-South. This show will be the band’s first time back in Memphis since August 2014 and as always, their progressive style of Hill Country Blues and Rock will be a crowd pleaser in the “Home of the Blues.”
