Each year, Sixthman allows artists to propose their dream collaboration sets to take place on the ship. Last week, on board Cayamo: A Journey Through Song, the Stardust Theater came alive with the sounds of Dirt Does Dylan, a Bob Dylan tribute set hosted by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, that featured David Bromberg, Jeff Tweedy, Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Amy Helm, and other special guests.
Sixthman, creators of unforgettable festivals on sand and at sea for more than two decades, have announced the 15th voyage of Cayamo: A Journey Through Song, a seven-night musical adventure sailing February 10-17, 2023 from Miami, FL to Tortola, BVI, and St. Maarten aboard the beautiful Norwegian Pearl. Pre-sales will be available beginning Monday, August 8, with general on-sales following on Tuesday, August 9, exclusively at www.cayamo.com.
But wait, there’s more.
Little Feat exploded out of its Covid hiatus with a fan-favorite “By Request Tour,” then began their tribute to the legendary live recording Waiting for Columbus, playing the song suite at every show. It culminated in two recent shows in Nashville shot for PBS that featured multiple guests; the show will broadcast later this year.
With his 1971 self-titled Columbia Records release, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter David Bromberg emerged as a wunderkind of American roots music. The disc’s blend of traditional and original material, virtuosic musicianship and iconic cover art trumpeted the arrival of a new artist of audacious vision.
