Right in the middle of his nation wide tour with Conspirator, Marc Brownstein took some time to talk with Grateful Web about the tour, his music, his current collaborations, the future of electronica, and how he feels about life, Jazz, and Britney Spears.

After tearing up Boulder, the Disco Biscuits moved their way a bit South to Denver before their big Mayan Holidaze gig in Mexico.

The first night started out surprisingly quiet around the Boulder Theater, although the crowd packed in quickly after the opener.

The heat resumed, but it felt so much worse after two days of partying and little sleep. I was appreciative of one thing on this sweltering morning wake-up; the showers had short lines for men, and they were only seven dollars. Therefore, although I really wanted to catch Baaba Maal’s set, I felt more rejuvenated going into the press conference with a fresh shower, breakfast, and an iced coffee. I was ready for a new day at my favorite festival.

Before I even begin to describe the Disco Biscuit madness that has been transpiring lately, I would like to qualify the title of this article. The word renaissance means rebirth.
