Thanks to the generosity of the guitar's new owner Andy Logan, Dark Star Orchestra guitarist Jeff Mattson will be the first to perform with the instrument since Garcia set it down following that summer evening's show. Alligator returns to the stage Saturday, February 15 when Dark Star Orchestra performs at The Warfield in San Francisco.

LOCKN’ has announced an extraordinary initial lineup for the upcoming special edition of the beloved camping festival. Set for June 19-21, 2020, the 8th annual LOCKN’ will be an all-star celebration of Phil Lesh’s upcoming 80th birthday, taking place as always at Infinity Downs & Oak Ridge Farm, LOCKN’s 387-acre property located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Arrington, VA.

Just like the singular Cornell, just like the one later called Sunshine Daydream, just like hallowed Hampton, DeKalb stands legend on its own as one of the most sensational performances the Grateful Dead ever did do. Early tape-trading circles earmarked the show as upper-echelon and when you have a listen, we're sure you'll be inclined to agree. The original reel-to-reel recordings have been shined and polished to perfection, showcasing mighty fine fret work, sparkling keys, and unparalleled harmonies.

The spirit of the Grateful Dead community is alive at the Ardmore Music Hall this winter! As another new year rolls in, I can’t say how excited I am to see the Grateful Dead family not only thriving but flourishing. We Deadheads can take pride in having become a borderless, boundless global community where a simple Steal-Your-Face sticker on your pack and a smile will find you a safe haven. And with thankfulness being one of the defining criteria of a Deadhead for the life-changing, enlightening experience the Dead brought to our lives, we have a healthy desire to express that gratitude. What is “it” we’re so thankful for?
