The creative genius and passionate determination of one of America’s musical icons comes to life inside the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame with Joan Baez: A Life of Music, Art, and Activism. The exhibit, curated by Museum Collective, will feature handwritten lyrics, rarely seen personal photos, original artwork and famous instruments that defined Baez’s award-winning career. The new exhibit opens inside the Boch Center Wang Theatre, March 6, 2025.

Today, legendary artist and activist Joan Baez releases new prints of Kamala Harris: Change Gonna Come, Baez’s portrait of Vice President Kamala Harris. The painting celebrates Harris and her mission, as she embarks on a historic campaign for President of the United States.

Last night, the 37th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert brought an evening of a magical performances to Carnegie Hall in New York City by an eclectic lineup of artists that included Laurie Anderson, Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers, Maya Hawke, Bowen Yang, Jlin, Gogol Bordello, Christian Lee Hutson, Shazad Ismaily, Gina Gershon, The Philip Glass Ensemble, Tenzin Choegyal, The Scorchio Quartet and The Patti Smith Band. The evening’s co-artistic directors and curators’ were Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson.

Tibet House US has announced that iconic singer, songwriter and activist Joan Baez has joined the lineup for this year’s Annual Benefit Concert along with legendary Ukrainian punk rock band Gogol Bordello. One of the longest-running and most renowned live cultural events in New York City, the concert will return to The Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on February 26 at 7:30PM.

Neither a conventional biopic nor a traditional concert film, JOAN BAEZ I AM A NOISE is a raw and intimate portrait of the legendary folk singer and activist that shifts back and forth through time as it follows Joan on her final tour and delves into her extraordinary archive, including newly discovered home movies, diaries, artwork, therapy tapes, and audio recordings.  Baez is remarkably revealing about her life on and off stage - from her lifelong emotional struggles to her civil rights work with MLK and a heartbreaking romance with a young Bob Dylan.

The Newport Folk Festival, one of the most highly-anticipated events of the summer music season, is set to return July 28-30th. Tickets go on sale to the public on February 1st, 2023 at 1:00 pm EST.
