Les Claypool
Coming on the heels of the release of “Zelensky: The Man With The Iron Balls,” a track written by Les Claypool of Primus and Eugene Hütz of Gogol Bordello, and featuring Stewart Copeland, Sean Lennon, Billy Strings, and Sergey Ryabtsev, Fandiem has partnered with Claypool and Hütz on a fundraising sweepstakes campaign to benefit Nova Ukraine.
On the night of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Les Claypool of Primus and Eugene Hütz of Gogol Bordello began collaborating on a joint release to rally support for the Ukrainian people. Released today via Rolling Stone and irreverently titled “Zelensky: The Man With the Iron Balls,” the track also features Stewart Copeland, Sean Lennon, Billy Strings, and Sergey Ryabtsev.
Les Claypool is the one of the most unlikely success stories in the entertainment history. His trademark voice, thumping bass lines and unique worldview have become the calling cards for a number of wildly successful and influential albums in the last two decades, including the seminal alt-rock band Primus. But through his myriad of musical and creative projects, Claypool has also become a favorite of metalheads, jam banders, funk connoisseurs and pretty much everything in-between.
Nearly two decades ago, one of the most unlikely supergroups took the stage for their first performance and by the time they finished their set of originals, the jam audience was already asking for more. That request was answered with a single month-long tour over a year later, and with the exception of a single one-off show, the beast was put to rest, but not forgotten.

The sun painted the final day of the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival in bright colors as puffy clouds floated about in the sky like cotton balls. It was a picture-perfect afternoon as the sold-out crowd began to fill the Tom Lee Park shortly after the gates opened. The music started early with the happy go lucky sounds of 24-year-old Memphis native Healy. The upbeat singer mixes musical genres like a Long Island Ice Tea of music.
Jim James and The Claypool Lennon Delirium have announced plans for a summer 2019 co-headline tour. The two acts will join forces for nine dates across the United States and Canada - beginning June 21 at Salt Lake City's Eccles Theater and then continuing into early July.
