Mason Porter
400 Bears, the folk, Americana and blues solo project of guitarist and songwriter, Paul Wilkinson (Mason Porter) will release its debut, self-titled LP on October 16, 2020. Nine of the ten tracks were written by Wilkinson and influenced by the subtlety of Mississippi John Hurt, the charisma of Taj Mahal and the omnipresence of Bob Dylan in the songwriter’s life.

Established in 2015, Midnight Mountain Music Show is a music festival presented by the Philadelphia band Mason Porter. This year’s festival will take place at Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground in Blakeslee, PA on September 16th and 17th.
Taking the name from one of their songs, the festival will host a variety of American Roots acts from rock to folk, country, bluegrass and everything in between. The MMMS festival will also features a chili cook-off, kids’ activities, vendors and more.
Pennsylvania Americana group Mason Porter formed over a decade ago in West Chester initially gaining steam, as most bluegrass acts must, as a relentless touring act. While the festival circuit is where improvisational prowess often makes its mark, Mason Porter’s ventures in the studio these past few years has clearly distinguished them.

Philadelphia roots music leaders Mason Porter will kick off their summer with a brand new release on Friday, June 3rd. Heart of the Mountains, their second EP in two years, showcases the band’s rapid growth and momentum. Philadelphia Americana ensemble Mason Porter debut a new single based on the Edgar Allen Poe short story “The Tell-Tale Heart”. The song was released today in celebration of Poe’s birthday. In their re-telling of this classic tale the band combines a dark, aggressive rhythm section with dramatic layers of strings to great effect and intensity. The track was produced by Brian McTear (Sharon Van Etten, The War On Drugs) at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia.
