Metallica today announced their WorldWired 2017 North American tour in support of their new album Hardwired...To Self-Destruct. The WorldWired 2017 tour is produced by Live Nation and  kicks off on May 10th in Baltimore, MD at M&T Bank Stadium.

Metallica's 10th studio album, Hardwired...To Self Destruct, debuted at No. 1 around the world today selling over 800,000 albums worldwide.  In addition to the United States, Hardwired...To Self Destruct is No. 1 on the album charts in: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, and Sweden with many of these markets having their best sales week of 2016.  A complete list of the 20+ countries where the album debuted at No.

Metallica's recently announced headlining concert at Minneapolis' brand new US Bank Stadium on August 20th has completely SOLD OUT. Pre-sale fan club tickets were made available earlier this week, followed by this morning's public on-sale, which sold out in less than 10 minutes. Metallica's show in Minneapolis will be the first rock concert at US Bank Stadium, the new home of the Minnesota Vikings, as part of the opening weekend festivities.

In celebration of Record Store Day, on April 18th, Metallica will release No Life 'til Leather as a limited edition cassette. The seven tracks were recorded in 1982 in Tustin, CA by the band's original lineup of James Hetfield: lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Lars Ulrich: drums, Dave Mustaine: lead guitar, and Ron McGovney: bass.
