The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown is back with a funk-filled explosion of sound in their latest release, RepurposE Purpose, Vol 1. Dropping digitally on September 6th, 2024, this EP is a skin-tight yet sprawling testament to the power of collaboration and groove, featuring an extraordinary lineup of legendary musicians from some of the most iconic bands across the globe.
Funk legend and Meters' bassist George Porter Jr. returned to the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, March 16, 202, along with his band Runnin' Pardners to celebrate the life of drummer Russell Batiste. He also brought many accomplished friends including drummer Adam Deitch, keyboardist John Papa Gros, and guitarist Cris Jacobs.

Since then, the mid-sized independent music venue located on University Hill has been voted one of the nation’s best venues by Rolling Stone and has been instrumental in the success of numerous musical acts.
