When I got the news that I could write a review for the Motet’s Best of their Halloween shows at my favorite indoor venue in the world, I jumped at the opportunity. Not only was it just their “best of” show, but it was the 7^th Anniversary Grand Re-Opening Celebration for the venue that has demonstrated its appeal to the fans of music in many ways.

What do you get when a band known for their funky grooves decides to pair up with a soul soldier to recreate the hip-shaking magic of a legendary posse? Pure perfection.

For this show The Motet will be joined by some phenomenal musicians from the west coast. In addition to Motet regulars Dave Watts, Joey Porter, and Dominic Lalli, they will be featuring former Sly and the Family Stone guitarist: GAIL MULDROW.
