As Peter Frampton gets ready to kick off his Farewell Tour tonight in Tulsa, the Grammy-winning guitarist is also celebrating another first in his long and distinguished career: All Blues, his first-ever blues album with his Peter Frampton Band, is debuting at #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart in the U.S. The new collection, released via UMe, also marks his best overall sales numbers and chart positions since the release of Fingerprints in 2006. “Georgia On My Mind,” the latest song off Peter Frampton Band’s forthcoming album All Blues, is premiering today. Of the song, which was written by Hoagy Carmichael, Frampton explains, “It’s the standard. I’ve heard Ray Charles kill it, I’ve heard Steve Winwood kill it and I would never attempt to sing this song. There’s just too many great versions by so many great singers. I decided we would do this song as an instrumental. It’s turned out to be a highlight on this record and just shows the versatility of the band.”

“The Thrill Is Gone” (featuring Sonny Landreth), the latest song off Peter Frampton Band’s forthcoming album All Blues, is premiering via Billboard who says “…the thrill is definitely not gone for Peter Frampton.” The song was written by Rick Darnell and Roy Hawkins, and popularized by B.B. King. “The Thrill Is Gone” is available now with digital album pre-order.

The reissue of Fingerprints from legendary guitarist Peter Frampton is out today via his own imprint Phenix Phonograph. Originally released in 2006, Fingerprints won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album and Frampton’s cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” off the album was also nominated for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. The album is also available on vinyl for the first time.
