What to say about this show? I will say it was a Phish show: not a Mike show, not a Trey show, not Page show, not a Fish show. It was a Phish show, a whole band who interacted and engaged in a musical conversation throughout. Wrigley Field provided the place for them to engage us, the audience, in their conversation.

Phish has been my favorite band for the last 20 years. Since then, I have seen them 179 times. In addition, I have been a fan of jazz music since I was born. My grandfather was a jazz guitarist with Artie Shaw and a few other big bands in Philadelphia. Therefore, to say that I was excited to see two of my favorite genres (yes, I said Phish was a genre) of music collide and collaborate is a true understatement.

On November 7, 1996 Phish played their only show to-date at Rupp Arena in downtown Lexington, KY – best known as the home of University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball.  Opened in 1976 with a capacity of 23,500 and named for former UK Coach Adolph Rupp, the venue was dubbed “the largest sporting arena in the country.”  Phish rolled into Cats country just three shows after their Halloween Remain in Light show and midway into a 35-date national tour.  The band’s sixth studio album, Billy Breathes, was released

Denver was the site of the tour closer for Phish’s quirky bass player’s solo project. The ever evolving creative genius put together his phinest lineup to tour with and flex his creative juices that seem to ooze out of him constantly whether it is making music or film or photography. He is an innovator, and a child of sound. His current lineup features long-time collaborator and guitarist Scott Murawski, who once was part of the jam band Max Creek.

Lockn' is very proud to announce the lineup for its fourth annual event. Phish will be making its first appearance at the festival with a two-night, four-set headlining slot on the Friday and Sunday of the weekend. This will mark the band's only festival performance in 2016. Ween, who are fresh off three reunion shows in Broomfield, CO that sold out instantly, will perform right before Phish on the Friday night. Another Lockn' first timer, the beloved My Morning Jacket will headline on the Saturday night.

The dates are here! Phish's 2016 Summer Tour begins on June 22 with the band's first concert in the Twin Cities since 2000, and culminates with its sixth year of summer-ending shows in September at Dick's Sporting Good Park in Commerce City, CO.

Pink Talking Fish is bringing their live fusion of Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish to Colorado in the form of a very special concept show. The band will perform the beloved Phish rock opera GAMEHENDGE in its entirety while intertwining Pink Floyd and Talking Heads songs throughout the piece. This concept debuted to rave reviews during a sold out Halloween performance in Boston MA. The band felt that bringing the Gamehendge concept to Colorado would be perfect based on the adventurous spirit of the state’s music scene.
