A moonlit evening hung over the city of Boulder like a silent sentinel as the line outside the Boulder Theater buzzed with anticipation. Soul Coughing, the band that swore they’d never reunite, took the stage once again on September 23, 2024, as part of their audacious “We Said It Would Never Happen” tour. Inside the venerable Boulder Theater, a space steeped in the city's musical lore, it was clear the evening would be anything but ordinary.

They said it would never happen, but now it is!! Not only is Soul Coughing touring for the first time in 25 years, but the band appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to perform their hit "Super Bon Bon."

Fans are clearly excited for the reunion many (including the band) said would never happen. After Soul Coughing announced a 17-date American tour, they have now introduced venue upgrades for certain shows, and are kicking off the tour earlier with an extra date in San Diego. The tour ends with a two-night celebration at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY on October 4 and 5.
