Spafford

The Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA hosted the electrifying jam band Spafford for two incredible nights this past weekend.  Friday night's sold out performance opened up with the cover "Take Your Mama" by classic pop-rock band Scissor Sisters.  Spafford then went into overdrive with the high energy, synth heavy instrumental "Red's Jam" followed directly into fan favorite "Leave the Light On" for a 46 minute extravaganza.

Spafford, the renowned American jam band, is set to take their music to the snowy peaks of Colorado for another unforgettable SpaffSki Tour this winter. This epic musical journey is sure to be a highlight of the Colorado ski season, as Spafford brings their unique blend of jam, rock, and funk to the picturesque Southern Rockies.

Spafford, the highly acclaimed jam band, continued their 2023 Fall Tour with multiple stops in Montana.  On Saturday night they delivered an electrifying performance in Bozeman, MT at the famed Rialto, a music theater which opened during the Roaring 20's.

Spafford has officially announced their 2024 Winter Tour which includes dates in many legendary venues across the country.  The tour starts on January 10 with a two-night run at the Broad Brook Opera House in Broad Brook, CT.  This historic venue has been around since 1892 and has been family owned since their first day.  Spafford will remain on the East Coast with a two-night, return visit to the amazing Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA, as well as stops in Maine, New York, and Pennsylvania.

The high energy, rock-fusion band Spafford recently played another hopping performance at Hop Springs Beer Park in Murfreesboro, TN. Hop Springs boasts itself as the largest brewhouse in Middle Tennessee, and music fans were treated to a special night on September 21. This show will be one of the three upcoming scheduled live streams, which also includes Athens's Georgia Theatre from September 22, and Carrboro's Cat's Cradle from September 23.

As Spafford prepares to head out on leg two of their extensive Fall 2023 Tour, another release of band selected live songs is set for October 11th.  Live Wax, Vol. 1 will be Spafford’s eighth live album collection and their first ever live release on the always popular vinyl record.  Live Wax, Vol. 1 features incredible performances of “Plans” from the February 1st show at Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, OH and “When it Falls” from the January 16th show at The Charleston Pour House in Charleston, SC.

The Minnesota Twins evened up the American League Division Series on Sunday night, with a 6-1 win over defending World Series champions, the Houston Astros.  During the post-game press conference, Twins manager Rocco Baldelli referenced two Spafford songs while fielding questions from reporters.

The remarkable jam-centric band Spafford delivered a high-energy show on Saturday September 23rd at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC.  The second set featured a monster double cover of Men at Work with a "Down Under" and "Who Can it Be Now" musical sandwich.  Spafford takes these 80's era classics to the next level with the addition of extended jams and high-energy peaks throughout each of these songs.

Knoxville's iconic venue, the Bijou Theatre, hosted an exceptional performance last Wednesday night by the renowned jam-centric band Spafford. Fans were treated to a special rendition of "West L.A. Fadeaway" by the Grateful Dead, marking the first time the song was played with their new keyboardist, Cory Schechtman, after a hiatus of one hundred and thirteen shows. Spafford was joined by guest vocalist and opener Ross "Rossdafareye" Heatherly for this memorable cover.
