Tank and The Bangas

While you can usually find Tank and the Bangas selling out the hottest clubs in New Orleans, this Friday, July 24, front-woman Tank and bassist Norman Spence joined the FANS' livestream dance party scene for a BlackPlanet 2020 DJ Set. Tank and DJ Norman are spinning live at 10PM ET from JAMNOLA in New Orleans — a brand new, first-of-its-kind, experiential pop-up venue, set to open to the public on August 1.

For the fourth straight week, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass has announced ten more artists for their 2019 festival which takes place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on October 4-6. As with past lineup reveals, fans were treated to a sneak-peek audio clip of the soon-to-be-announced artists on HSB’s social media accounts earlier this week. Upon hearing what HSB calls the weekly “artist medley,” fans hypothesized in the comment section about who might be added to the lineup.

Breakout New Orleans-based five-piece Tank and The Bangas will continue to take their lauded live show on the road this fall with stops including New York’s Apollo Theater, Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre, Chicago’s Metro and Boston’s Royale as well as performances at Afropunk, Newport Jazz Festival and Emerge Fest. Tickets will be available on Friday, July 26 at tankandthebangas.com. See below for complete tour dates.
