Travelin' McCourys
It was the biggest and best small festival I have ever attended. There, I said it. I have started with a boom; a writer’s biggest mistake. There was no building to this statement. The opportunity to hook you with subtlety and humor was lost. If you stop reading now, I have only myself to blame.
The Travelin' McCourys will bring the Bluegrass Ball to Shoe Fest 2013 over the weekend of September 6-8th. Shoe Fest is a three day outdoor music and camping event featuring live music performances which will take place at Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see in Manteno, IL.This year's installment of the midwest festival will feature bluegrass legends, The Travelin' McCourys, and witness the return of the Ben Miller Band, Ed Anderson, Jaik Willis and more.
Suwannee Springfest 2013 was a rainy, thundery affair, but it still exceeded expectations for a supreme gathering of musical talent and a raucous good time. And hey, though it was rainy, as in torrential downpours with heart pounding thunder and lightning, the show went on (a damn good show) without much of a hitch.
A free concert with bluegrass supergroup The Travelin’ McCourys & Friends will take place immediately after the Tennessee Titans’ game on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Cumberland Park, 592 South 1st Street in Nashville, in the shadow of the Titans’ stadium on the banks of the Cumberland River.
Multi-faceted artist Keller Williams is constantly surprising his fan base with a dizzying array of new releases and unique projects. He started his career as a one-man band and has gradually over the years become more of a bandleader, directing such excellent endeavors like The Keller Williams Incident, Keller and the WMDs, Kdubalicious, etc.
Pick, to be released July 3, 2012 on SCI Fidelity Records, is the debut collaboration of Keller Williams and The Travelin’ McCourys.
