Veteran Vermont jam quartet Twiddle will ring in the new year with a concert at The State Theater in Portland, ME. The one-night concert event is the band’s first NYE event at the historic southern Maine locale in their eighteen-year history. Ascending NJ-based Dogs in a Pile, currently scheduled to support over twenty dates on Twiddle’s recently announced fall tour, will perform an opening set.

Today, Vermont jam quartet Twiddle released Every Last Leaf, their fifth full-length studio album. Vermont jam quartet Twiddle, alongside a handful of notable local and nationally touring acts visited Westport, CT’s Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts for an epic weekend of music. Dulcet melodies echoed across the Saugatuck River, as over one-thousand revelers packed the picturesque venue each night to enjoy additional Friday sets from The Nth Power and Mihali, and Saturday appearances by Dwight and Nicole and Eggy. Rounding out the festivities were select local food trucks and traveling artisans peddling handcrafted wares.

Northlands is ramping up and promises to be the biggest event in the region, with 15 bands over multiple stages.

“We super excited about this year,” says Northlands Director Seth McNally.  “We’ve curated a fantastic diversity of genres, basically an entire season worth of dynamic bands and lined them all up for one fantastic weekend of music.”

Veteran Vermont-based jam quartet Twiddle has debuted their latest single ‘Distance Makes the Heart.’ The ambling, folk-inspired track is the band’s second release in as many months. Penned during the early months of the pandemic, the song features the masterful dobro stylings of Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass). Produced by Clint Bierman, the song was recorded by Roger Stauss and Samuel Johnson at Sugarworks Soundhouse in Waitsfield, Vermont.

Last Friday night, Twiddle closed out a fiery one-two punch at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY, building off of the prior night’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities, as well as the birthday celebration of keyboardist Ryan Dempsey. The Vermont based quartet delivered inspiring jams for their dedicated fans who arrived hours before the show began. The show included two notable sit ins, as well as accolades from the Brooklyn Bowl’s famous owner, Peter Shapiro.

Today, Vermont jam quartet Twiddle released a new video hinting at an upcoming studio release.The footage, captured at Sugarhouse Soundworks in Waitsfield, VT, is accompanied by a never-before-heard song. The announcement follows a series of recent social media posts featuring the band writing and recording, signaling the potential for a highly-anticipated new project. Although the band’s live catalog has continuously grown over the years, their last official studio release was 2017’s Plump.
