To help raise awareness and support for the Save Our Stages (SOS) Act, NIVA Colorado has dubbed Wednesday, July 29th as the organization’s “Day of Action.”

The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) applauds the introduction of the bi-partisan Save Our Stages Act introduced by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). The Save Our Stages Act directly impacts independent venues across the country such as Z2 Entertainment’s Boulder Theater and Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado and the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, Colorado.

From Bette Davis and John Wayne to Bo Diddley and Bob Dylan, the State Theatre in Portland has seen its share of stars since it first opened its doors on November 8, 1929.  On Friday, November 8, 2019, the theatre will kick off a celebration of its 90th birthday with a week-long scavenger hunt around Portland with ticket and merchandise giveaways to mark the historic occasion. The Santa Fe Brewing Company’s new event space, The Bridge, opened Thursday June 9 with the Kingston, Jamaica group, Israel Vibration. Since the brewery and the concert venue are in the middle of vast expansion and remodeling, this first show was outdoors.
