Growing up, the Wooten Brothers were military brats. Their family moved frequently, and the five boys grew up in Hawaii, California, and Virginia. Despite the constancy of motion, the family was anchored in music. Regi, the eldest, began teaching his younger brothers how to play bass and keyboards before any of them turned ten years old. The Wooten Brothers Band was playing gigs when the youngest, Victor, was only six.

Illustrious family outfit The Wooten Brothers are poised to reassemble for an extensive musical voyage, bringing their larger-than-life funk and soul-driven production to dozens of cities across much of the continental United States. The highly anticipated reunion tour commences today in Chattanooga, where the group will debut the titular single from their forthcoming studio album, Sweat, due for release in 2024.
