Club Passim is launching the Passim Persists Festival streaming Wednesday, June 24 through Tuesday, June 30. The festival will wrap up the non-profit’s Spring fundraiser, themed “Passim Persists,” and include performances by Dar Williams, Aoife O’Donovan, Vance Gilbert, Dietrich Strause, Margaret Glaspy, Rose Cousins and more. The artists will be performing in-the-round, allowing them to interact with one another and share their personal experiences about why Passim must persist.

Stemming from a musical friendship many years in the making, two stars of American roots music, Aoife O'Donovan and Noam Pikelny, headline select venues throughout the Rockies, Southwest and Midwest in November 2014. O'Donovan, widely renowned for her work with Crooked Still and her 2013 critically-acclaimed solo album Fossils, has quickly come to the forefront as one of today's leading female vocalists.
As Tim O’Brien and Friends kicked off the final set of RockyGrass 2012, I planted my feet a couple of yards behind the elevated stage. The canopy of treetops overhead, awash in color from the stage lights, absorbed a light drizzle. To my right, the deity of all double bassists, Edgar Meyer, calmly warmed up next to the main stage staircase.
