Blind Boys of Alabama

The Blind Boys of Alabama are gospel icons. Bela Fleck occupies a similarly lofty perch in the world of bluegrass. Together, they have earned 20 GRAMMY Awards and scores of other accolades. For Record Store Day 2021, The Blind Boys of Alabama and Bela Fleck have joined together on record for the first time to release a special 45RPM 7” to be released on Alabama-based label Single Lock Records.

This series is dedicated to bringing the excitement of national touring acts back into Austin’s world-renowned live music scene, with upcoming shows set for March 27 and 28, and April 3 and 4.

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Marc Cohn and gospel titans Blind Boys of Alabama have announced the August 9th release of Work to Do, via BMG. Produced by John Leventhal, the unique collection combines the songwriting talents of Marc Cohn with the soul-stirring harmonies of Blind Boys of Alabama and falls on the heels of more than a year of live collaborative dates.

Severn Records announces an October 16 release date for Raise Your Hands!, the first solo recording from former Blind Boys of Alabama guitarist Sam Butler. Produced by Brian Brinkerhoff (Guitar Shorty, Jazz Soul 7), the even-dozen tracks on Raise Your Hands! showcase the splendid talents of Butler, whose guitar work was a staple of The Blind Boys of Alabama for many years.
