DelFest

DelFest, the festival brainchild of Del McCoury and his extended McCoury family now in its 13th year, in partnership with High Sierra Music, announced an initial star-studded lineup today. Held at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in beautiful Cumberland, MD, DelFest originated from the desire to create a family-friendly music festival celebrating the rich legacy of McCoury music while creating a forum for world-class musical collaborations and to showcase fresh new talent.

Born into a coal-mining family that later moved to Michigan's upper peninsula and raised in an extended family with a grandmother who was both a Civil Rights activist and a Christian, I get a sense of all of those roots in her music.

DelFest is proud to reveal their full performance schedule for this year’s festival which will take place in Cumberland, Maryland, on Memorial Day Weekend—May 23-26, 2019.

DelFest announces the 2019 Late Night lineup which starts Thursday with An Evening with Billy Strings (2 sets) and concludes on Sunday with The DelFest Chaser, a set hosted by recent “Best Bluegrass Album” Grammy winners, The Travelin’ McCourys, joined by longtime comrade, Sam Bush + surprise guests. New this year by popular demand, headliners Yonder Mountain String Band (Friday night) and Railroad Earth (Saturday night) will perform first followed by supporting acts, Larry Keel Experience (Friday) and Joe Craven and The Sometimers (Saturday).

Today is Del McCoury’s 80th birthday. And to celebrate, DelFest, a production of McCoury Music and High Sierra Music, is announcing the following lineup additions to the 12th annual festival: Tyler Childers, Sam Bush, Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams’ PettyGrass feat. The Hillbenders, The SteelDrivers, Joe Craven & The Sometimers, The Larry Keel Experience, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, Kitchen Dwellers, Lindsay Lou, Front Country, Pixie & The Partygrass Boys, and Marty O’Reilly & The Old Soul Orchestra.

To celebrate the tenth annual DelFest we want to kick it off with a bang and have a couple announcements for Thursday.  First, many were wondering what happened to DMB's "Soundcheck" set which has become a festival favorite. The answer is we had set aside Thursday as an "And Friends..." to kick off our DelFest 10 Celebration.  We are pleased to announce that we have special guests for that night including Dan Auerbach (you know him as one half of the Black Keys), Preservation Horns of New Orleans, Jon Fishman, and Ronnie

Delfest is going all out for their 10th Annual Festival lineup with additions including Railroad Earth, Tim O’Brien, The Gibson Brothers, artists at large Sierra Hull, Bryan Sutton, and Billy Strings, and multiple workshops. Delfest takes place over Memorial Day weekend, May 25-28 alongside the Potomac River in scenic Cumberland, MD. Ticket prices go up on March 7th.

Just announced lineup additions:
