Eugene Hütz

Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz of the international punk band Gogol Bordello has announced NYContinuity Vol.1: New New York Does Old New York - a new cross-generational compilation album out April 4 on his Casa Gogol Records. The first single out today is a mesmerizing cover of The Velvet Underground’s “All Tomorrow’s Parties” by Grace Bergere ft. Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth.

With the recent launch of Casa Gogol Records (Rolling Stone), Eugene Hütz, frontman of NYC’s celebrated Gogol Bordello, is on a mission to amplify a New New York sound. His new band Puzzled Panther is led by principal songwriter Victoria Espinoza, Kay Bontempo, Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Alex Ryaboy.

On the night of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Les Claypool of Primus and Eugene Hütz of Gogol Bordello began collaborating on a joint release to rally support for the Ukrainian people. Released today via Rolling Stone and irreverently titled “Zelensky: The Man With the Iron Balls,” the track also features Stewart Copeland, Sean Lennon, Billy Strings, and Sergey Ryabtsev.
